Q: how do you sell a charity tee that doesn’t look like a normal charity tee?
A: you create a brand platform that unites internal teams and pushes fashionability
I love Homie. I love their work supporting at risk youth and I love their clothes (literally wearing a hoody of theirs as I type this).
Being a brand fan I reached out to them and asked to (pro-bono) help them find their niche. We worked together to push the fashion messaging – because at the end of the day people will part with cash if they love something (more than if that something simply ‘does good’).
From this positioning we’ve helped hone their approach to role of imagery, website, OOH and brand collaborations. My writing has ended up on their Champion tee collab. We helped build on their celeb partnership with Tommy Little for Christmas product bundles ‘Little’s Big Sack’. And currently helping them work towards designing (and selling) the footy strip for the Australian team in the Big Issue soccer World Cup.
